Dishoom King's Cross, a journey in itself

hot tip

Indian flavours from breakfast to dinner… This place is a must.

Behind St Pancras station, the journey continues to Bombay in a capsule that takes you back in time to the 20s, 30s and 40s. This former brick warehouse houses Dishoom, inspired by the old Irani cafes in Mumbai opened by Iranian Zoroastrians in the last century. There, students, lawyers, drivers and families share tables. Dishoom has transported this welcoming ambience to London amid vintage furniture and antique objects that include a second-class train banquette seat, an old clock from the Mumbai Central Railway Station, and a newsstand turned into juice bar… Everything is an invitation to ‘elsewhere', starting with dishes like chicken tikka, black daal and naan cheese, among others. Londoners, who are connoisseurs of Indian cuisine, love it here. If you like spicy food, Dishoom also has restaurants in Shoreditch, Soho and Covent Garden.
