With three lines, the small blue-and-white Metromover travels from the northern district of downtown Miami to the south. Elevated, driverless, fast, and, above all, free, it is useful to all—both for people getting to work as well as for tourists who find it an original and undemanding way to discover the city. You will see some nice neighbourhoods and some that are disadvantaged.
If you want to take pictures of the buildings, youve got to stand right in front of them. As the metro is free, don't hesitate to get off and walk from one station to the next.
Get off at the Tenth Street/Promenade station in the south, and take a walk in the business district. Look at the beautiful houses along Brickell Avenue. The Bay front Park Station is bucolic. Get off there and walk through a pretty, shady green space. At Government Center, several museums await you. The Metromover runs from 5:00 a.m. until midnight.
