Code Kurkku: la dolce vita in Tokyo

At the entrance to Yoyogi Village, behind luxuriant plants, lies a pearl of an Italian restaurant.

Code Kurkku is in Yoyogi Village, a low rise, low-impact ‘anti-development' of human scaled shops, cafés, and bars.

Go ahead and take your first sip of a good beer in the beer garden before heading into the dining room, with its high ceilings, light colours, and wood floors. Here nature is everywhere, with a forest of bamboo, a vertical garden, and a cuisine in harmony with the space. The dishes are prepared with amore, under the leadership of Yasuhiro Sasajima, whose Kyoto restaurant had established his reputation as offering the best Italian food with a Japanese touch all made with organic, farm-to-table ingredients.

Taste the seasonal fish carpaccio or the Torebisu risotto and perfectly seared pork. Don't skip dessert, which may be a green-tea tiramisu!
