Buddha Tooth Relic Temple: for a moment of meditation

In Chinatown, the majestic Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum reveals a different yet essential side of Singapore.

Inaugurated in 2007, this sacred place of worship stands majestically in the middle of the city. The serene atmosphere is conducive to meditation.

The chime of soft music, the smell of incense, and the purple and golden colours will transport your senses. The interior is extremely lavish. The floor is paved with gold, the walls and ceilings are adorned with paintings and sculptures, and thousands of statues decorate the rooms: Buddhas, dragons, flowers, and lanterns of breath-taking beauty. Lose yourself on the different floors and in the hanging gardens.

Spin the prayer wheel and get carried away into another world. The museum presents the history of Buddhism in an original way, and is filled with beautiful objects. If you wish to also attend a ceremony, do so in the evening, as these are the most striking moments of worship.
