Bénodet and its stunning coastal corniche

In Cornouaille, facing the ocean and the Glénan archipelago, Bénodet becomes a lively resort in summer.

Bénodet, the seaside extension of Quimper just a few kilometres from the old city, is a gem set on the coast and bordered by the Odet, reputed to be the most beautiful river in France. With its chic atmosphere and unspoiled natural landscapes, Bénodet is often compared to Cannes. Its marina and four white sand beaches, languidly facing the enchanting islands of the archipelago Glénan, give it a postcard setting, replete with a dazzling display of beautiful sailboats.

Perfect for a short getaway, Bénodet is never more engaging than on its corniche road. Towards the estuary, just before Phare du Coq lighthouse, sea bathing properties dating from the 19th century seem to defy time. Beyond are the pine trees of the Grande Plage and the rocky tip of Saint-Gilles. The casino, the elegant hotels, and the spa draw tourists, and the nights are always lively.
