Beirut celebrates cinema with BIFF

Published on 07-13-2016 Agenda

The 16th edition of the Beirut International Film Festival will give the Lebanese capital very cinematic colours this autumn.

The 16th edition of the Beirut International Film Festival will be held 5-13 October 2016. Each year, this very famous event gathers film lovers and celebrities from the industry, like French actress Julie Gayet, who presided over the Jury in 2014, or Brazilian filmmaker Jonathan Nossiter who co-presided over the Jury in 2015. The last edition introduced international films like the publicly acclaimed The Lobster and the eagerly-awaited The Little Prince

Much of the selection is devoted to Lebanese and Mediterranean cinematographies, not forgetting short films and documentaries, which are subject to multiple awards each year. BIFF's very rich program is the opportunity to sharpen your film knowledge and open up to new cinematic horizons.
