Alinea is not a restaurant. At least, not in the conventional sense. Eating there is pure theatre. Since its opening in 2005, it has become a Chicago landmark. With only one seasonal menu of 18 to 22 dishes, the dining experience is not only bold and delicious, it is also moving and provocative.
Everything about this three Michelin starred restaurant is astounding, from the first amuse-bouche to the dazzling finale: a floating green apple helium balloon.
