A to Z Café: an artsy café with a view

fashionable

Grant yourself a break from shopping with an exquisite lunch in an amusing place.

Snuggled into the 5th floor of an improbable building in the Omotesando neighbourhood, not far from the Spiral Market concept store, this café with a view over the bustling city is the fruit of collaboration between the pop artist Yoshitomo Nara and the design studio Graf.

Don't hesitate to walk about this vast space with a mini-shack of wood in the centre and walls covered by the artist Nara to make an additional exhibition space. Artsy in its own way, this is a delightfully odd place. For lunch, a unique menu of the day is offered on a platter, bento style. If vertigo does not get in your way, you can lunch as a pair on the little roof terrace with a view over Aoyama.

Watch out, as the waiters do not speak English, so you will have to use your miming skills to order. But remember, smiles are universal.
