A tasty Azerbaijani menu at Barashka

Barashka serves authentic cuisine from Baku in a European decor and design aesthetic that reveals its membership in the Novikov group.

Celebrating the flavours of Azerbaijan, Barashka offers ethnic cuisine in an elegant atmosphere, a popular formula for upscale Muscovite foodies. With anthracite wood and cushions in bright traditional colours, this restaurant is under the control of chef and Baku native Bakhtiyar Aliyev.

The dishes on the menu are sublimely oriental: Aushta chicken noodle soup with meatballs, Azeri lamb dumplings, grilled meat and rice pilaf with apricots and hazelnuts (850 RUB), kebabs, and shashliks. Order the leg of mutton for a hearty dish to share with friends.

In the warmer months, the shady terrace, which includes a bar, is furnished with fun wicker pieces. Start the evening with a traditional Azeri tea before embarking on a flavourful odyssey. And finish your feast with one of the delicious brandies on the menu.
