94DR: a bed and breakfast with character

remarkable

South of the city, a short walk from Holyrood Park, this pretty inn has six monochrome rooms of contemporary design.

Located in the residential area of Edinburgh, this Victorian house is a five-minute walk from Arthur's Seat and a ten-minute drive from the city centre. White and grey with a touch of black: these are the three dominant colours in the decor. In the rooms, the colour palette also includes some notes of green, red, or orange. Volumes are nice and the bow windows look out onto Arthur's Seat, the Pentland Hills, or the establishment's garden. Owners Paul and John, two art enthusiasts, are big fans of modern Scottish works, and many examples are hanging on the walls.
They're also passionate about food. Paul puts together full Scottish breakfasts that are as beautiful as they are delicious, inventive, and hearty. The dinner menu offers contemporary cuisine, or you could cycle to one of the small restaurants in the area on a hotel-provided bike.
