25hours Hotel Altes Hafenamt: the new port address

design

Twenty-four hours are not enough to enjoy this beautiful hotel close to the Speicherstadt and the emerging HafenCity district.

Having just dropped anchor in the harbour, this brand new hotel is already making waves. Two steps away from sister establishment 25hours Hotel HafenCity, urban nomads sleep here like sea captains, and with good reason: the 1885 building, all in brick, once housed the administrative offices of the port, where sailors met to swap sea yarns.

The 49 cosy, full-comfort rooms are in faded tones and loaded with nice touches: a hot water bottle, a pink world map, and a shopping bag to borrow during your entire stay—just like the bike and the Mini car, free for your use.

Another trip, this time culinary, is to be had in the NENI restaurant, which serves Middle Eastern dishes. A delicious hummus is part of the breakfast, along with all the great classics. The bar, inhabited by a giant portrait of a sailor on the wall, is a popular rendezvous among Hamburgers in the know.
