At the back of the courtyard past an overgrown garden, you climb up the stairs to the left, which lead to the gallery and bookshop.
The art, photography, architecture, and fashion are always of the moment, and it is rare to leave empty-handed. The gallery is curated according to whatever its founder, Franca Sozzani, feels is right for the moment.
On the ground floor is a vast hangar-sized boutique that has the feel of a flea market or consignment shop. You can find anything, from vintage Paco Rabanne and sculptural Azzedine Alaïa dresses, to clothing from current designers like Mary Katzantrou and Jeremy Scott. And, of course, beautiful accessories. In terms of food, you can get a bite to eat or have a working lunch. Sozzani has also recently added a mini hotel to the concept store: it has three rooms, which have the look and feel of real guest bedrooms.
