How does Internet check-in work?

Internet check-in occurs in 4 stages:

1 / Identification

To find your booking and send information about your trip, you must first log in.

To do this, either:
- enter the number of your Flying Blue card,
- enter your reservation number,
- enter the 13 or 14 figures of your electronic ticket number, given on your Trip Summary.

2 / Check-in

  • Select the flight(s)

All information about your flight is displayed: date, departure time, flight number, departure airport, destination airport, class and airline (if this is an aircraft from a company different than your flight number).

If your fare rate allows you to change the time of your flight, then all other available flights for the same destination will be displayed. All you have to do is deselect your initial flight and select a new time.

If your trip includes a second transfer flight, information about this flight will also be displayed. You can therefore check-in at the same time for both these flights. A single boarding card will be issued for your trip.

Similarly, if your return flight occurs within 24 hours of your departure, then information regarding this flight will also be displayed, and you can check in at the same time. This service is not available on La Navette shuttle flights.

  • Select the passenger(s) you wish to check in

The list of passengers booked in the same booking file is displayed.
You can check in all these passengers at the same time (up to a maximum of 9).
If you wish to add another passenger, all you have to do is click on the "Check in another passenger" button and enter their identification information.

Passenger information is then displayed. Unknown and missing information must be completed. For some destinations, you must also supply additional information required by the authorities.

You must also confirm that each passenger possesses the documents required (passport, visa, etc.) by the destination country, and that they have familiarized themselves with goods that are forbidden in the cabin or hold.

3 / Confirmation

A seat number is automatically allocated to you. You can choose a different seat by clicking on the "Change seat" button.
You can also adjust the seating of the people you are traveling with by clicking on the "Change seat" button for each of them.

Seats still available are shown by row on a plan.

Check-in for your flight is now complete.

4 / Print out or chose how you want to receive your boarding card

At this final stage, you can print out your travel documents. The type of document depends on your departure airport (you must have the "Acrobat" software package on your computer. If you do not, you can download it directly from this screen).

  • Print out your boarding card

This printed document is your boarding card. You must take it with you to the airport.
If you have no hold baggage, you can go directly to boarding before the boarding deadline given on your boarding card. Police checks may be rather lengthy, so take care not to arrive too late at the airport.
If you have hold baggage, you must deposit it at a "baggage deposit" counter. If there is no "baggage deposit" counter, you must go to your flight´s check-in counter.

If you do not have a printer or if you encounter a problem when trying to print out your document, your check-in is still valid.
However, you must collect your boarding card at the airport at your flight´s check-in counter before the check-in deadline.

  • Print out check-in confirmation

We suggest that you print out this document instead of your boarding card for some destinations. Although Internet check-in is available for most airports, a few do not offer this service.
In this case, you must collect your boarding card at the airport by presenting this document at the check-in counter for your flight or at an e-services counter before the check-in deadline.

  • Receive your boarding  card

Confirm your check-in and indicate how you would like to receive it:

    - by e-mail
    - on your mobile telephone (SMS* or MMS)
    - at a Self-Service Kiosk or check-in counter upon arriviral at the airport.

*To take advantage of the SMS service, your mobile telephone must have an Internet connection.

Cancellation

New: cancel your online check-in

Are you no longer able to or do you no longer wish to take a flight for which you have already checked in online? You can cancel your check-in in just a few clicks on our website.
Note: only your check-in is then cancelled. If the fare rate you paid allows, you must also cancel your flight booking so that your ticket can be refunded or exchanged if need be.
